Bio
Joep van Liefland's artistic practice is strongly linked to the transience of technology. His ongoing engagement with the artifacts of the information age dwells between the realms of the analog and the digital. He works with various forms of media, relying on his collection of video cassettes, remote controls, instruction manuals, old television sets, and screens. These obsolete entities are reappropriated and rearranged as installations and sculptures, creating a body of work where the transformation of technology throughout time becomes tangible.
